As spring is slowly creping in (the snow is nearly gone, finally), I decided to make myself a pair of summer-yupe sock out of that marvellous Lana Grossa Meilenweit cotton yarn.
The colour transitions are quite abrupt, but they do not make wide strips and from what I've seen on projects made with that colorway in ravelry, it tends to pool when knit in plain jersey. So I browsed my new colour technique book (given to me by my adorable bf :), and found a few stitch patterns that would well mix the colour by having some diagonal segments.
I first swatched the fake honeycomb, and I like it a lot, although I would like to try something more lacy. There was a nice one in the book, but I don't know if it will transfer nicely in circular knitting, as the original pattern include some p23og-yo-p3tog.
After I choose, I will frog the swatch, and separate by skein in two in order to do my first attempt at knitting 2 socks at once. But as I am quite fond of the magic-loop, I should manage that part. I find the putting-back-the-skein-into-two-skeins more scary.
